About the Role
MIYA Creative Care is looking for a part-time music therapist in the Greater Toronto Area to begin in Spring 2025. This independent contractor will be working with a variety of client populations and begin at approximately 5-15 hours/week with multiple opportunities for growth.
Key Resposibilities
Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate music therapy programs in retirement homes, long term care, and/or disability services
Maintain an active clinical caseload providing assessment, treatment, documentation, and education
Maintain professionalism, including abiding by all PPE regulations
Attend monthly team meetings

Rates Range: $32.50-$63.00/hour

Requirements
Certified Music Therapist (MTA) with the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (CAMT) in good standing or in progress
Experience and passion for working with older adults and in senior care settings
Meets the musical and clinical competencies recommended by the Canadian Association of Music Therapists
Strong interpersonal skills
Creative and adaptive clinical skills
Possess own instruments, including a guitar and a variety of rhythm instruments
Be independent, organized, and enthusiastic about working as part of a team
Weekend/evening availability and willingness to travel an asset
