About the Role
MIYA Creative Care is looking for an art therapist for the GTA area to begin in the Spring 2025. Hours will begin at 5 -15 hours a week with an opportunity for growth. This independent contractor will be required to drive to various sites and client homes within the GTA.
Key Resposibilities
Key Responsibilities
Work with our care partners and communities to develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate art therapy programs in facilities
Maintain an active clinical caseload providing assessment, treatment and documentation
Maintain professionalism, including abiding by all PPE regulations
Attend monthly team meetings

Rates Range: $32.50-$63.00/hour

Requirements
Membership with the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA) and /or the Ontario Art Therapy Association (OATA) in good standing
Completed a recognized Art Therapy degree
Highly preferable to have access to a vehicle to visit sites around the GTA
RP credentials are an asset
Experience and passion for working in one or more of the following areas: dementia care, developmental disabilities, and mental health
Meets the competencies in the Standards of Practice recommended by the Canadian Art Therapy Association
Strong interpersonal skills
Creative and adaptive clinical skills
Independent, organized, and enthusiastic about working as part of a team
